Burbank City Council Meeting Wrap-up

December 23, 2006

ANIMAL REGISTRATION RENEWAL

The council unanimously approved an ordinance changing the licensing period for animals registered at the Burbank Animal Shelter. The new ordinance voids language in the original ordinance that says animal licenses expire on Dec. 31.

WHAT IT MEANS

The ordinance effectively streamlines the process of license renewal for pet owners and moves the license expiration date from Dec. 31 to one year after license issuance.
