The Alexander/Rave Gallery, managed by co-presidents, Cheryl Rave, of Burbank, and McKenzie Alexander, has opened on the second floor at 12202 Ventura Blvd., Studio City.

The fine art gallery specializes in the exhibition and sale of contemporary fine art by established and emerging artists including oils, paintings, glass sculpture and mixed media.

The owners plan to have monthly jazz nights, industry networking evenings and Sunday salons for serious discussions of art and trends. The venue will also be available for rental and filming.

Several of the Burbank School of the Ballet students were invited to perform with The American Pacific Ballet Company for this season's production of "Nutcracker Suite."

They were Haven Dragomer, Jeremy Zapanta, Natalie Krakirian and Yasmine Stacy.

Michelle Summers of Burbank was awarded the Stephen Harris Athletic Scholarship at the Southeast Missouri University Foundation Scholarship Reception.
