gets top position

Burbank resident Thomas Moutes has been appointed Assistant General Manager of the Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System.

Moutes served as interim assistant general manager for four months while remaining head of the group's Administrative Services Division.

He had been working with the city for 22 years in the Office of the City Clerk before he joined Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System in 2001. He is an alumni of California State University at Northridge with a master of science degree in public administration. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania.

Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System is a public pension fund that provides service and disability retirements as well as health insurance subsidies to its members.
