All proceeds will be donated to the new Roy and Patricia Disney Cancer Center at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. The event will honor Steve Veres of the Burbank Noon Kiwanis for his tremendous dedication to the building of the center.

Opportunity drawing tickets are $1 each or six for $5 to win first prize of $300, second prize of $200 and third prize of $100.

The Aktion club is a community service group for adult residents living with a disability. It provides members with opportunities to develop initiative and leadership, to be integrated into society and to demonstrate the dignity and value of residents living with developmental disabilities.

Burbank Kiwanis For Fun meets at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Thursday of every month at the Hillstreet Café, 3301 N. Glenoaks Blvd. For more information, call Linda Curtin at (818) 841-4667.

Established in 1997, the tournament brings golfers and spectators alike together for a day of fun and fundraising with 100% of the proceeds benefiting youth programs and organizations in Burbank.

More than $25,000 was raised in last year's event to benefit programs including the Burbank Boys & Girls Club, Burbank Family Service Agency and Burbank Police Youth Outreach Center, outreach for community support of homeless and underprivileged children.

Others include the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, books and musical instruments for community youth, Burbank schools, college scholarships, the Boy Scouts of America, Red Ribbon Day and the De Bell Junior Golf Program.
