BURBANK EMBLEM CLUB CELEBRATES NEW OFFICERS

Burbank Emblem Club #86, recently celebrated its 66th installation of officers at the Burbank Elks Lodge #1497 in Burbank.

Supreme Emblem Club President Barbara Colburn and Supreme Marshal Rhonda Augustine led the installing suite of supreme officers as the Burbank Emblem Club #86 officers were installed.

Burbank Elks Lodge #1497 Leading Knight Randolph Garcia represented the Burbank Elks as an honored guest.

Other honored guests were Past Supreme President Ruby Butler, Emblem State President Pamela Stein and other Burbank Elks #1497 officers.

Those being installed were President Matilde Ramsey Jr., Past President Ramona Higgins, Vice President Irene Brandies, Financial Secretary Mary Hoffman, Treasurer Charlene George, Recording Secretary Ivy Miller, Corresponding Secretary Cookie Bentivegna, Press Correspondent Elaine Paonessa, Chairman of Trustees Ethel Roberts, Club Marshal Bobbi Palmatary, First Assistant Marshal Linda Bailey, Second Assistant Marshal Julia Dickason, Chaplain Andrea Allen, First Guard Arlene Baake and Second Guard Ree Walker.

After the traditional installation ceremony, refreshments were served in the social quarters of the Elks Lodge.

GUILD FASHION SHOW LUNCHEON HAS 'ALL THAT JAZZ' THEME

"All That Jazz" is the theme of the annual luncheon and fashion show presented by Providence St. Joseph Medical Center Guild on April 14 in the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton Universal Hotel.

The day begins at 10:30 a.m. with a boutique offering jewelry, handbags and accessories.

The fashion show will feature some of the top designers in Los Angeles. Carin Holmenas will produce the show featuring the fashions from Robert Ellis and Sy Devore, both of Studio City. The highlight will be the Physician Celebrity Models of Providence St. Joseph Medical Center.

There will be a special $10,000 cash grand prize. Only 250 tickets at $100 each will be sold and they can be purchased in advance at the Gift Gallery of the Medical Center or at the event.

This is the guild's major fundraising event of the year. The proceeds will go to its $1-million pledge to the Roy and Patricia Disney Cancer Center.

Donna Mahoney is the event's director and Terry Campbell is president of the guild.
