THURSDAY

"All in the Timing," five one-act comedies by David Ives, opens at 8 p.m. in the Glendale Community College Auditorium Studio Theatre. Guest artist and former student Matt Foyer is the director. Performances continue at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and April 12, 13 and 14 and at 2 p.m. April 14 and 15. The plays contain adult language and are not recommended for children. FRIDAY

"Hearts and Minds," the 1975 Academy Award-winner for Best Documentary, will be screened at 7 p.m. as part of the spring film festival at Glendale Community College sponsored by the Assn. of Latin American Students and the Latin American Studies Department. The film explores the history and attitudes of the opposing sides of the Vietnam War and gives voice to the Vietnamese people themselves. Admission is free. The Youth Art Expo 2007 will display student artwork at the Creative Arts Center Gallery, 1100 W. Clark Ave., Burbank. The expo, themed "Fueled by Creativity," includes the work of students in grades kindergarten through 12 from Burbank's public and private schools. The art expo will closes April 26. SATURDAY

The Associates of Brand Library and Art Center will host the second free concert of its series, titled "Hispania: Music from and influenced by Spain and Latin America" at 2 p.m. in the Brand Library Recital Hall, 1601 W. Mountain St., Glendale. Performing is Arpa y Aulos, whose members are flutist Salpi Kerkonian and harpist Andrea Puente. Guest musicians are violist Alan Busteed and cellist Kevan Torfeh.
