All-area First Team

Heather Hansen, senior

forward, Providence

She averaged 14.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.1 steals and two assists a game and earned All-CIF Southern Section Division V-AA first-team and Liberty League Most Valuable Player honors. She also helped the Pioneers win a league title and advance to the CIF quarterfinals.

Joy Lelo, senior

guard, La CaƱada

Paced the Spartans and was named All-Rio Hondo co-Player of the Year. She also made the All-CIF Southern Section Division II-AA first team, while averaging 21.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.1 steals a game after missing her junior year with an injury.

Laurel Myers, senior

forward, Flintridge Prep

Was honored for a fine season by being named to the All-CIF Southern Section Division IV-A first team and as the co-Prep League Player of the Year. She averaged 10 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals a game.

Molly Roach, senior

forward, Crescenta Valley

Proved to be an offensive force for the Falcons, leading the Pacific League with 16.4 points a game to go along with three steals. She also earned first-team All-Pacific League accolades.

Courtney Robinson, junior,

guard, Flintridge Prep

Averaged 11.1 points, 4.1 steals and 2.6 assists a game for the Rebels. She was honored by being named to the CIF Southern Section Division IV-A first team and Prep League first team during the Rebels' first-ever run to the CIF final.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Bryan Camacho, Bell-Jeff

Paced the Guards to a huge turnaround, as the team went 20-8 after having won just four games the previous year before Camacho's arrival. Bell-Jeff placed second in the Santa Cruz League and advanced to the CIF Southern Section Division IV-AA quarterfinals after not qualifying for the postseason the two previous seasons.
