Countrywide CEO to speak at Woodbury

Woodbury University's Saturday commencement ceremony will feature Angelo R. Mozilo, chairman and chief executive officer of Countrywide Financial Corp., who will deliver the keynote address.

Mozilo is also scheduled to receive an honorary doctorate from Woodbury.

More than 350 undergraduate and graduate students will receive degrees from both the schools of Architecture and Design and Business.

Mozilo co-founded Countrywide in 1969. The company is mainly known for its home loans and is a member of the S&P 500, Fortune 500 and Forbes Global 2000 with more than 900 offices operating on three continents.

He is active in all aspects of Countrywide's businesses, which includes mortgage banking, national banking, a securities broker-dealer, life and casualty insurance and real estate closing.

Commencement ceremonies begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Woodbury University, 7500 Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank.

Disney board gets 12th member

Procter & Gamble Co. executive Susan E. Arnold has been named to the board of Burbank-based Walt Disney Co.

Arnold, 53, is vice chairman of Procter & Gamble & Co.'s beauty and health business, which includes the company's global beauty portfolio, oral care, personal health and pharmaceutical businesses.

She will serve as an independent director on the board.

The board has 12 members including Arnold.

Arnold joined the Procter & Gamble Co. in 1980. Her division accounts for 30% of the company's sales. She became the first woman to be named a vice chairman at the company in 2004.
