GLENDALE — With a suddenly torrid offense and overwhelming pitching staff, it's no wonder the Crescenta Valley High baseball team has feasted on its most recent competition.
Ask Burbank High Coach Bob Hart, who watched Crescenta Valley post a 10-0 Pacific League victory against Burbank on Wednesday night at Stengel Field. The game was called in the bottom of the fifth inning because of the 10-run mercy rule.
The Falcons (19-2, 10-1 in league) made believers out of him.
"They are a well-coached team with lots of talent," said Hart, whose team suffered a 9-0 home loss to the Falcons on March 20. "They have a prototype lead-off hitter.
