Police looking for robbery suspect

The Burbank Police Department is searching for a man in his late 50s in connection with a bank robbery and an attempted bank robbery that took place on Friday.

A man allegedly entered the Bank of America on 142 East Olive Ave. carrying a handgun, but fled the scene without obtaining any money, Sgt. Matthew Ferguson said.

Shortly after that incident a man, who police believe may have also been involved in the initial robbery attempt, reportedly entered Citi Bank at 360 East Magnolia Blvd., where he escaped with an undisclosed amount of funds after slipping a threatening note to a bank teller, Ferguson said.
