The club started the month off with brisk hike up the Topanga Hills, where they enjoyed great views of the San Fernando Valley. After such a great workout, the club gathered in the evening for its annual pub crawl in Old Town Pasadena to share some good times. It's not all play for the Jaycees, though. If you're interested in starting, expanding or restructuring a small business, join the club for a Team Business Class from 6:30 to 9 p.m. June 19.

Team Business is a city of Burbank program with the goal of linking the best resources for training, consulting and access with those interested in starting a business or developing their business skills. Through the program, Participants can maximize not only their individual earning potential, but that of small start-ups and corporations.

The annual Burbank Relay for life will begin at 9 a.m. June 23 and continues until the next day at Robert Gross Park, 2814 W. Empire Ave. The Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's signature fundraiser, with more than 4,200 events nationwide and is an overnight team event that raises awareness of cancer, celebrates survivors, remembers those lost to the disease and raises funds to fight cancer through research, education, advocacy and patient services.

Teams are required to keep at least one team member walking the track during the 24 hours as an ode to the consciousness that cancer never sleeps. In addition to the relay, there will be various booths, displays and entertainment for the kids.
