ELIMINATING CLASSIFIED JOBS
Board members will consider eliminating five classified, part-time district positions.
The positions are currently vacant and Assistant Supt. of Human Resources Services Gabe Soumakian's recommendation for closing the positions has been discussed with a representative from the California School Employees Assn.
Four of the five instructional assistant positions being eliminated due to lack of funds, and another is being considered based on lack of enrollment, according to a district report.

BURBANK HIGH CENTENNIAL WEBSITE
The board will consider approving a contract for website-building services. Burbank High School will celebrate its centennial anniversary in 2008 and the high school's centennial committee would like a website to help commemorate the event.
The contract will be with L.A. Web Builders for July 1 through June 30, 2008.
The cost is not to exceed $9,920. The website would serve as a place for the sale of tickets and receipt of donations for events.
It would also include an online store, alumni area, wall of donors, message board and reunion and event information, a brief history of the school and current news.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The board will most likely approve this consent item at the same time as the others during the end of the board meeting.
ADOPTION OF 2007-08 PROPOSED BUDGET
The board will consider adopting the proposed budget for the 2007-08 school year. Gary Mortimer, interim assistant superintendent of business services, will present the proposed budget report to the board.
The report includes the revenue and expenditures in the district's general fund, changes in federal and state fund amounts and projected balances of programs and funds up to the 2009-10 school year.
