Creative Arts Center Gallery, 1100 W. Clark Ave., Burbank, presents “One Woman’s Journey” a photographic experience by Cynthia Alacron. Alacron’s photographs span a 20-year period that began with the artist’s desire to capture a moment in time. Her work explores the beauty of her Mexican heritage with a multitude of subject matter. The photographs will be on display through Sept. 27. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Saturday hours vary. Dr. Martin Kaywill present a lecture on “rejuvenating cream: fact or fiction” from 9 to 10 a.m. in the food court of the Burbank Town Center, 3rd floor, 201 E. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank. The talk will cover rejuvenating creams, nonsurgical fat loss and skin tightening. The event is a part of the Burbank Town Center Mall Walkers health care lecture series. Learn the best ways to deal with a chronic medical condition from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Providence Occupational Health Center, 3413 W. Pacific Ave., Burbank, (second floor conference Room B). A one-day AARP Driver Safety program will be offered to those age 55 and over from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Providence Health Center-Hollywood Way, second floor conference room 104, 3413 W. Pacific Ave., Burbank. The cost is $10 made payable to “AARP.” Participants will receive an AARP Certificate upon completion of the four-hour program. Another session will be offered on Sept. 19. The Southern California Genealogical Society will offer a beginning genealogy class from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the society’s Family Research Library , 417 Irving Dr., Burbank.
