• LAST WEEK: Burbank lost to Simi Valley, 28-0; Arcadia defeated Lynwood, 33-21.

• OUTLOOK: The Bulldogs open Pacific League play against an Arcadia team that has earned some quality wins. A key for Burbank will likely be its ability to move the ball, something it has struggled with this season. The team has scored just 14 points in three games and has been shut out in two contests.

• SOMETHING INTERESTING: Following Friday’s game, Burbank will play four of its final six contests at home.

• WHERE: Moyse Field at Glendale High.

• RECORDS: The Indians are 0-3; the Nitros are 0-2-1.

• LAST WEEK: Burroughs lost to St. Francis, 21-14; Glendale lost to South Pasadena, 20-17.

• OUTLOOK: After a challenging nonleague campaign against some tough opponents, the Indians open Pacific League play against a struggling Nitros squad. Burroughs also has had some problems igniting its offense, as it is averaging just 12 points a game.

• SOMETHING INTERESTING: Indians quarterback Corey Howard is averaging nearly 210 yards passing a game.

• WHERE: Lucerne High.

• RECORDS: The Guards are 3-1; the Mustangs are 0-3.

• LAST WEEK: Bell-Jeff defeated Marshall Fundamental, 55-0; Lucerne Valley lost to Needles, 28-20.

• OUTLOOK: The Guards hit the road for a long trip and a nonleague game against Lucerne Valley. Bell-Jeff will face a Mustangs squad that has taken its share of lumps this season. Lucerne Valley has had a lot of trouble on defense, as it gives up 36 points a game.

• SOMETHING INTERESTING: Guards running back Jorge Chaidez has rushed for 763 yards and nine touchdowns.
