Burbank City Council Meeting Preview

The following items will be discussed at Tuesday’s Burbank City Council meeting:

Burbank Water and Power is seeking an expansion of the Recycled Water Master Plan.

The recycled water system expansion will work to improve the sustainability of Burbank’s water supply and conserve potable water.

Use of recycled water for all approved uses will be required where recycled water is available and its use is “beneficial and practical,” city staff reports said.

Staff will update the council on the first phase of changes to the city payroll system.

Phase I is due to take effect Dec. 16 and includes a new payroll system, a new time entry system and other changes.

Phases II, III and IV will be implemented throughout 2008 and be completed in 2009.

The council approved $9.9 million for all four phases, of which $4.9 million was budgeted for Phase I.
