Wax Poetic is hosting a Pink Party charity auction from 7 to 9 p.m.to raise money for City of Hope. The Wella Corp. is going to match all the money raised dollar for dollar by the salon for breast cancer research. Guests can dress in pink. Admission is free. The Burbank Art Assn. Fall Juried Show will continue through today at the city of Burbank Creative Arts Center Gallery, 1100 W. Clark Ave., Burbank. Artists who work with mediums including acrylics, oils, pastels, watercolor and collage will be on hand to meet the public. Traditional and non-traditional work will be represented. John Burroughs High School will have its first ever art fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Burroughs quad, 1920 Clark Ave., Burbank. The John Burroughs High School Vocal Music Assn. presents “Burroughs on Broadway” at 7 p.m. at the Burroughs Auditorium, 1920 W. Clark Ave., Burbank. Students will be performing their way through musicals including “Sweet Charity,” “Ragtime,” “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and “Beauty and the Beast.” There will be an additional performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter present a “Furry Friends Adoption Day” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Milt & Edie’s Drycleaners at the corner of Alameda and Pass in Burbank.
