Mall to open early and give away Wii console

The Burbank Town Center will open at 6 a.m. Friday for customers looking to get ahead on their Black Friday holiday shopping.

Gift bags containing discounts and special offers for stores in the mall will be given out to early arriving shoppers.

There will also be a special gift bag with a Nintendo Wii game system inside.

The first 500 shoppers will also be eligible to receive a $50, $250 or $500 shopping spree in the mall.

Photos with Santa also begin in the mall today from 5 to 9 p.m. until Dec. 24 in the first floor, center court of the mall.

Burbank production company names VP

Burbank-based production company Original Productions announced the appointment of Kerri Zane as vice president of Women’s Programming on Nov. 13.

Zane, an Emmy Award-winner, will lead Original Productions into their new targeted demographic of women, company officials said.

She will develop true-life content about the working class heroine and report directly to Philip Segal, president of Original Productions, in the company’s Burbank offices.

Original Productions, the company behind job- and action-based reality shows “Ice Road Truckers,” “Biker Build-Off,” “Monster House” and “Monster Garage,” was founded in Burbank in 1999.
