If the fundraiser, established by Austin’s mother, Heather Howell, yields donations in excess of $25,000, the hospital will place a memorial plaque on their donor wall in Austin’s name.
Those who cannot attend the breakfast are encouraged to contribute in Austin’s name to the Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles, c/o Claudia Looney, 4650 Sunset Blvd., Stop 29, Los Angeles.
Please make a note of Austin’s name in the memo field of all donation checks to ensure they are tallied.

Applicants sought for advisory committee
The Burbank City Council is seeking applications for a four-year term on Burbank’s seat on the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Advisory Committee.
The committee consists of 26 members who meet once a month in the evenings at various locations throughout Los Angeles County and aims to propose and review projects for the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Board.
The committee reports to the Conservancy Board regarding the conformity of projects with the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Strategic Plan and Rim of the Valley Corridor Master Plan, and reviews proposed amendments.
Interested individuals must be residents of Burbank and can pick up an application at the city clerk’s office in City Hall, 275 E. Olive Ave. Application forms are also available on the city’s website, www.burbankusa.com.
The deadline for submitting an application is 5 p.m. Jan. 11 with the appointment scheduled to be made at the Jan. 22 council meeting.
