Benefiting from this event are hundreds of Scouts who are members now and will be members in the future of the Verdugo Hills Council program, said Council Executive Jon Maeda. Scouting is open to boys living in Glendale, Burbank, La Crescenta, Montrose, La Cañada Flintridge and several areas of Los Angeles.
This year’s chairmen selected the theme of “Boarding the Scouting Ark” in welcoming young men aboard who come one by one or two by two from all backgrounds and walks of life for the opportunity of a Scouting experience.
Some of the 300 silent auction prizes available are an Indy 500 Race package, Rose Parade and Rose Bowl tickets, a Disneyland package, a North Carolina Biltmore Estate Garden Manor stay, Las Vegas VIP package, pure breed puppy dog and vacation packages in Mazatlan, Mexico, Carlsbad, California and Cabo San Lucas.
Tickets are $100 per person and they can be reserved by calling the Scouting office at (818) 243-6282.
