Delphic League meet: Lauren Markey won the girls’ 1,600 meters (6 minutes, 38.93 seconds) in the event April 22.
Teammate Aine O’Regan won her 400 heat (1:12.02).
Burroughs in sophomore- freshmen Pacific League finals: A group of Indians athletes had some fine performances Saturday in the field event competition at Arcadia High.
On the girls’ side, Justice Shank won a league title with a first-place finish in the high jump (5 feet 5). Paris Vaughn also captured a title in the long jump (15-9).
Teammate Ashley Aparicio was second in the pole vault (7-0), Vaughn was second in the high jump (4-10) and Crystal Valdez was second in the shot put (26-5).
Collecting boys’ league titles was Austin Allen in the pole vault (11-6) and John Louie in the triple jump (37-7 1/2 ). Teammate Ryan Allsman was second in the pole vault (11-0) and Cole Manoukian was second in the triple jump (37-3).

BOYS’ GOLF
Burbank, Burroughs in Pacific League preliminaries: Two Bulldogs athletes were able to advance to today’s final and the Indians finished third in league Tuesday in the event at Brookside Golf Course No. 2.
Burbank’s Matt Kurihara shot a 12-over-par 82 for a two-round score of 164 (12th) and Robert Symons shot an 85 (176; tied for 24th).
Crescenta Valley finished first with a team total of 365. Arcadia was second with 391 and Burroughs was third with 420. Burbank was fourth with 426.
The league finals will be today at 1 p.m. at the same venue.
