The Buena Vista Library is looking for volunteers to help sign up and schedule patrons interested in using the Internet at the library’s computer stations. BURBANK ANIMAL SHELTER

The Burbank Animal Shelter is looking for volunteers to care for kittens in their homes until they are ready for adoption. The shelter’s program cares for kittens up to 3 months old. BURBANK PUBLIC LIBRARY LITERACY SERVICES

The Burbank Public Library is looking for volunteer tutors who can provide one-to-one tutoring in basic reading skills to adults 18 and older who speak and understand English but read and write below an eight grade level. Tutors are also needed to help children in fourth through 12th grades with their reading, phonic and sight word skills. Volunteer tutors meet twice a week for a minium of six months with an adult learner. Must be 18 years or older. For more information, call (818) 238-5577.
