“Symbols and Scenes Along the Way,” an exhibition of works by ceramist Ellen Rundle, continues at the Creative Arts Center Gallery, 1100 W. Clark Ave., Burbank. The show closes June 26. Her work merges the influences of rustic, modern and new age imagery. For more information, call (818) 238-5397.

Dance recital by students of The Burbank School of the Ballet and the Burbank Youth Ballet Company from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Glendale Community College, 1500 N Verdugo Road, Glendale.The director is Lisa Sutton. The performance includes ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap and modern dance styles. Tickets are available at The Burbank School of the Ballet, 3008 W. Burbank Blvd., Burbank. Tickets range from $15 to $20. Burbank Kiwanis Club will present a ceremony honoring the birthday of the “Star Spangled Banner” on Flag Day at 3 p.m. the Burbank Tennis Center at McCambridge Park, 1515 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank. The Burbank Community Band will be led by Director Don Holcomb. Cash prizes will be presented to winners of the patriotic art and photo contests.
