Glendale Centre Theatre presents “Singin’ in the Rain” at 8 p.m. today at the theater, 324 N. Orange St., Glendale. Dance recital by students of The Burbank School of the Ballet and the Burbank Youth Ballet Company from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Glendale Community College, 1500 N Verdugo Road, Glendale. Director is Lisa Sutton. The performance includes ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap and modern dance styles. Tickets are available at The Burbank School of the Ballet, 3008 W. Burbank Blvd., Burbank. The Burbank Public Library will present a talk by Randy Carter, president of the Alex Film Society at Glendale’s Alex Theatre, with a look at “The Silver Screen: 100 years of Gadgets, Gimmicks, and Ballyhoo,” at 2 p.m. at Buena Vista Library, 300 N.
