A wonderful play, I understand, but again very questionable material for high school.
I feel Urioste did the right thing, and there is no grounds for a grievance.
I believe the statement in your article by the Burbank Teachers Assn. stating the grievance was “capricious,” or not well-reasoned, was said by Bailey and does not hold water.
Perhaps because he is not stating all of the pertinent facts.
I think it came down to, “Enough is enough.”

NBC development plans make little sense
In my opinion, the NBC development project makes very little sense (“Plans at NBC lot taking shape,” May 17).
Both the freeway onramps and offramps of the 134 Freeway will be completely overwhelmed with traffic backed up for miles at rush hour.
Buena Vista park will also be overwhelmed with daily usage by outsiders who do not help us take care of our parks. As one drives along Buena Vista now, one is reminded of being in the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
The residences and small offices have been torn down, and these massive structures have gone up, and they blot out the sun.
Our city leaders met at their goal-setting workshop and set their highest priority the goal of sustainability (“City pushes sustainability,” June 28).
So one has to ask what were they thinking about when they approved these massive towers?
Where are we going to get the water for these projects? What about sewer hook-ups? What plans have been made to ease transportation? To “green” up the projects?
What do these projects do to benefit the average citizen, and what makes them worth the costs? What trade-offs and exceptions were allowed to make these projects happen?
Will Warner Bros. and Disney be precluded from some reasonable growth in order to overbuild on this lot? Why?
