ST. ROBERT BELLARMINE ITALIAN CLUB HAS PICNIC

The St. Robert Bellarmine Italian Club had its first Ferragosto Picnic over the summer at Villa Scalabrini.

This was the first event organized by the newly installed officers of this club, which was formed two years ago at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish. The purpose of the event was to celebrate the traditional end of the summer Italian holiday of Ferragosto, and treat the club members to a fun event outdoors.

An Italian buffet was provided by Eastside Market and accordion music was provided by Elsie Anderson. The children played under the canopied picnic grounds at the Villa, and the adults enjoyed several rounds of bocce.

The officers are Angela Kramer, vice president; Annette Riggio, secretary; Rita Pietrantonio, sergeant at arms; Rosanna Odio, co-president, Roseann Mecca, treasurer; Rita Boccuzzi, outgoing president), Angie Odio, president; and Teresa D’Agostaro, public relations director.
