Members put a lot of dedication and creativity into the store’s windows that are decorated for the holidays. Chris Welker, Holiday Planning Décor chairwoman, and her committee Sue Ann Gordon and Beverly Jean Davies are some of the guild members who helped create the “White Christmas” window featuring St. Nicholas in the woods.

‘DAYS’ STAFF COLLECTS TOYS FOR CENTER
Cast and crew from “Days of Our Lives” daytime drama recently had a holiday toy drive for a group of 40 boys, ages 9 to 18, who live at Hathaway-Sycamores’ Child and Family Services’ residential treatment center in Altadena.
A couple of Hathaway-Sycamores’ boys greeted production intern Bryant Watson on the NBC Burbank lot as they loaded the van with holiday toys and clothing donations from the wardrobe department.
“Days of Our Lives” staff members have been conducting this holiday toy drive for Hathaway-Sycamores’ children and young adults for nearly a decade. Hathaway-Sycamores’ residential treatment center is a therapeutic home away from home where abused, abandoned and troubled boys receive mental health services.
BOYS & GIRLS CLUB RECEIVES TOY DONATION
Ken Marinace, chief executive of Burbank-based Comprehensive Financial Services, recently presented his Holiday Client Dinner at Oakmont Country Club.
Guests were asked to donate toys to the Boys & Girl Club of Burbank and they brought enough to fill a truck. The toys were given out Thursday at the Boys & Girls Club’s annual holiday party.
Accepting the toys was Shanna Warren, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club.
A special guest at the dinner was Marinace’s granddaughter, Lillian Garretson from Bellevue, Wash., who came along to assist with the evening’s festivities.
