All-area Girls' Basktball First Team

Margeaux Gupilan, Junior, Guard, Bell-Jeff

Earned All-CIF and All-Santa Cruz League first-team honors for the state-champion Guards. Averaged 14.1 points, 6.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 steals a game.

Courtney McCutchan, Junior, Forward, La Cañada

All-Area Girls’ Volleyball Player of the Year was also an All-CIF and All-Rio Hondo League first-team pick for the Spartans after putting up a team-high 12.6 points and seven rebounds per game to go with 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals per contest.


Megan Musashi, Junior, Guard, Flintridge Prep

All-around standout scored 20.7 points per game to go with 6.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists. A weapon inside and out, she was a first-team All-Prep League and All-CIF honoree after leading the Rebels to the quarterfinals.

Rishonda Napier, Freshman, Guard, Bell-Jeff

Made an instant impact in her first season, earning All-CIF and All-Santa Cruz first-team accolades. Along with averaging 14.1 points a game, she also averaged 3.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 steals in a Southern Section title run.

Cassie Pappas, Junior, Guard, Crescenta Valley

Despite the opposition’s game plan to stop her, the first-team All-Pacific and second-team All-CIF Division I selection averaged a team-best 17.3 points a game and also pulled down 6.8 rebounds per contest.


Bryan Camacho, Bell-Jeff

His Guards had the finest season ever produced by a girls’ basketball team in the area. Along with being the first team to capture a state title, the Guards also won a CIF Southern Section Division V-A title and finished with an impressive 34-1 record.
