The band’s philosophy is to create the songs as they were originally produced, he said.

“Other drummers want to do their own thing or improve on something,” he said. “Kevin worked hard to get the songs down.”

They’ve added several hits to their repertoire, Mosley said, including “Heart of Rock and Roll” by Huey Lewis and the News, “Honky Tonk Woman” by the Rolling Stones, and “Time Won’t Let Me” from 1966 by the Outsiders.

The signature horn sound is expertly re-created by keyboardist Dave Slater, Mosley said.

“It gets people up and going,” he said.

Joining them on stage will be Bella Donna, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, featuring Michelle Tyler doing her Stevie Nicks impersonation. She was the lead singer with the Answer during the 1960s and ’70s.

“It will be fun playing on this bill with her,” Mosley said. “We’ll be singing ‘Stop Dragging My Heart Around.’ I will be singing the Tom Petty part.”

Colin Hay, former lead singer of Men at Work, plays July 26.

“This is our hidden gem,” she said.

“Colin Hay’s voice is absolutely recognizable, having sung the hits ‘Who Can It Be Now’ and ‘Overkill.’ He does a lot of acoustic songs, and they are really powerful because his voice is so great.”
