Burbank Unified School District Board Meeting Preview

DOUBLE DUTY

The Burbank Unified School District Board of Education will hold two meetings Thursday.

The board will meet during a special study session at 11:30 a.m. in the district’s administrative offices to discuss its priorities for the new academic year.

The administrative offices are at 1900 W. Olive Ave.

Trustees will meet again at 6 p.m. to take on a posted agenda that is one of its lightest of the year and includes no items of new or unfinished business.

The board will vote on a series of items for consent approval, including purchase orders and permission for overnight athletics trips.

Trustees will also introduce new Supt. Kevin Jolly, who will take over for Gregory Bowman starting today.

After Thursday’s meetings, the board will not meet again until Aug. 6.
