Highlight of the day was the presentation of $8,000 to Captains Rio and Rachel Ray to support the youth programs of the Glendale Salvation Army.
The donations were made possible by proceeds from L’aureole’s annual luncheon and fashion show benefit at The Castaway in Burbank.
LEADERSHIP BURBANK IS RECRUITING PARTICIPANTS
Leadership Burbank, a training ground for future leaders in the community and “rising stars” in local businesses, is recruiting for its 2009-10 program year beginning in September.
Leadership Burbank is a nonprofit organization that offers a nine-month leadership training program for people who live or work in Burbank. Classes meet once a month and space is available for up to 25 students. Application deadline is July 31.
Sessions have been designed to provide a foundation in the concepts and principles of leadership that will be addressed throughout the program as the participants are confronted with the daily issues that face our community. Throughout the year, participants will interact with council members, state representatives, city department heads, nonprofit directors, local business leaders and others who make Burbank work.
For more information and to download an application, visit www.leadershipburbank.org or contact Jamie Keyser at (818) 567-5936 or jamie.keyser@disney.com.
