Three injured at Fourth of July party

A Fourth of July party in the 4400 block of West Verdugo Avenue turned violent when unwelcome guests refused to leave, police said.

Burbank police were called to the area at 11:44 p.m. and found 50 people in the street, three of whom sustained knife and blunt trauma wounds. They were taken to hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police arrested Austin Cook, 18, of Burbank, Pedro Hernandez-Ceron, 18, of Sun Valley and a Sun Valley boy for assault with a deadly weapon.

The investigation is ongoing.
