City to collect e-waste

A household hazardous and e-waste roundup is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m Aug. 8 at the Burbank Fire Department Training Center, at 1845 Ontario St.

Items to be accepted include paint, batteries, brake fluid, computer equipment, motor oil and fluorescent light bulbs. Residents are asked to bring disposables up to 125 pounds in a sturdy box. Items not accepted include trash, tires, explosives, refrigerators, stoves and controlled substances. Call (800) 238-0172.

A fun night out

Sponsored by Park, Recreation and Community Services Department, the Summer Parks Program will host the Lundigan Park Family Fun Night from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at 2701 Thornton Ave.
