Reception launches local artists’ showcase

Among those at Friday’s reception were Mikaila Henderson, Felipe Ramirez, Michael Gammage, Cherie Jones, Jamie Lifsey, Ed, Dorie and Crissy Falk, Julia and Joey Alter, Gary and Sue Coleman, Janice and Hamid Jafari, Sydney Graziano, Susan Park, Amy Cousineau, Adriana Anaya, Laura Aguilar, Jaime Estrada, Lee and Joan Saveland, Jay Simmons, Steve Santillan, Elizabeth Molholt, Doug Appleton, Rael Mendoza, Irene LaBomme, and photographer George Rodriguez, whose photos of Michael Jackson are featured in the current special commemorative issue of “Rolling Stone” that pays tribute to the late King of Pop.

Others who enjoyed the premiere of the exhibit that will run through the end of July included Sandy Childs, Eric Basta and Carol and Bart Bingaman, Peter Lambertz, and John and Coco Funakura. Also on hand were Charles Borman, who owns the Village Square Gallery in Montrose, his wife, Thelma, and artist Roy Walden, accompanied by his wife, Olga.
