A NOISE WITHIN SELLING PROPS AND COSTUMES

A Noise Within is cleaning house and will have a massive “garage sale” today at its current location, 234 S. Brand Blvd., Glendale.

The sale features discounts on costumes, furniture, set pieces, props, curtains of every size and yards of fabric.

Items on sale include furniture pieces used in past productions, vintage prop nick-knacks, and racks of clothing — men’s, women’s and children’s — ranging from elegant vintage to the everyday to Halloween costumes, said Rebecca Baillie, the theater company’s production manager and sale coordinator.

The company is letting go of some of its best possessions in anticipation of moving to its new permanent home in Pasadena in fall 2010. The company has raised $9.2 million to date in its $13.3 million capital campaign, but is striving to reach $10 million before groundbreaking this fall. Profits from the garage sale go toward this goal.

Tax-deductible donations for the capital campaign and the annual fund will be accepted during the garage sale as well. Admission is $1. Cash is preferred, but credit cards are accepted with a minimum purchase and subject to a service charge.

Contact Rebecca Baillie at (818) 265-7961 or visit www.AnoiseWithin.org.
