The Falcon Theatre presents The Troubadour Theater Company’s “Oedipus the King, Mama!” directed by Matt Walker at 4252 W. Riverside Drive, Burbank. The musical parody brings together Sophocles’ twisted tragedy, “Oedipus the King,” and the music of Elvis Presley. The play closes Sept. 27. Ticket prices range between $32.50 and $55. The Colony Theatre Company begins previews of “Visiting Mr. Green” by Jeff Braon and directed by David Rose beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Colony Theatre, 555 N. Third St., Burbank. The bittersweet comedy is a story about parents and children, lifelong secrets and finding friendships in unlikely places. The previews run through Friday.
