September 22, 2009|By Christopher Cadelago

CITY CENTER — Police are searching for a white man in his 30s who allegedly raped an unconscious 24-year-old man this weekend in his Burbank apartment, authorities said.

The men met about 6 p.m. Saturday at Sardo’s Grille and Lounge on North Pass Avenue before going to the alleged victim’s apartment on the 4300 block of Sarah Street, Burbank police Sgt. Robert Quesada said.

The alleged victim told police he awoke Sunday morning feeling woozy. He then checked a message from a friend in Switzerland who had found an online video of the suspect performing sexual acts on him, Quesada said.

He then called police about 12:30 p.m. Sunday to report being drugged and raped. His laptop was also missing, Quesada said.

Police investigators arrived and took the man to a medical examiner and clinical expert for examinations, Quesada said. Tests were completed Sunday, but police are withholding details pending a full investigation.

The suspect is described as being about 35 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall with blond curly hair.
