GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Western Christian d. Bellarmine-Jefferson, 12-25, 18-25, 22-25: Bell-Jeff faced a tough team Thursday in a nonleague loss on the road.
Jocelyn Cervantes had 10 kills and 12 assists, Breanna Pedron had seven kills and nine assists and Kim Van Dyke had 12 digs for Bell-Jeff (1-2).
Bellarmine-Jefferson d. Culver City, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-22: The Guards came back Tuesday to win the nonleague match on the road.
Bell-Jeff was paced by sophomore outside hitter Jocelyn Cervantes, who had 10 kills. Teammate Breanna Pedron had 10 assists, four kills and five aces and Kim Van Dyke had 20 digs.
Mary Star d. Bellarmine- Jefferson, 18-25, 24-26,12-25: The Guards couldn’t get past the Stars in a nonleague contest Sept. 10 at home.
Jocelyn Cervantes had eight kills and five digs.
Burbank d. Golden Valley, 25-11,25-10, 25-18: The Bulldogs had little trouble earning the nonleague won Tuesday at home.
Iris Mora came up with nine digs and eight kills to lead the Bulldogs (2-0). Teammate Natalie Burns added six kills, Narine Kirakosyan had eight kills, Andrea Velasco had 11 digs and setter Sarah Tubert had four aces and five kills.

Burbank 15, La Cañada 3: The Bulldogs improved to 2-1 with a nonleague win Thursday on the road.
Burroughs 16, Hoover 2: It was an easy Pacific League win Thursday for the Indians.
