BURBANK VS. HOOVER

•?WHEN: 7 p.m. Friday.

•?WHERE: Moyse Field (Glendale High).

•?RECORDS: The Bulldogs are 5-1; 3-0 in the Pacific League; the Tornadoes are 1-5, 0-3.

•?LAST WEEK: Burbank defeated Glendale, 61-3; Hoover lost to Crescenta Valley, 41-12.

•?OUTLOOK: The Bulldogs are coming off a huge offensive output. Only two other times in the program’s history has a team been able to score more points in a game. The team’s defense also stepped up, as the three points is the smallest amount Burbank has allowed in a game this season. Hoover is a squad that has struggled on both sides of the ball this season. The Tornadoes average just 10.5 points a game and give up 28.7. After Friday’s game, the Indians will have three remaining league games, including one against Crescenta Valley on Nov. 6.

•?SOMETHING INTERESTING: The Bulldogs are ranked No. 4 in the CIF Southern Section Southeast Division.

BURROUGHS VS. ARCADIA

•?WHEN: 7 p.m. Friday.

•?WHERE: Arcadia High.

•?RECORDS: The Indians are 4-2, 3-0 in the Pacific League; the Apaches are 1-4-1, 1-2

•?LAST WEEK: Burroughs defeated Pasadena, 35-12; the Apaches lost to Muir, 27-7.

•?OUTLOOK: The Indians have played some of their best football of the season the past few weeks. The squad’s offense is proving that it can move the ball through the air and on the ground, and the defense has improved as well. Burroughs has won three straight games after beginning the season 1-2. Arcadia looks to be a bit down this season. The team’s only win was a 34-16 victory against Glendale. In addition, the 34 points scored in that game is a season high for the Apaches. Burroughs’ win, coupled with Burbank’s victory last week, leaves the locals as the lone undefeated teams in league.

•?SOMETHING INTERESTING: Burroughs senior running back Dalton Williams is averaging 109.2 yards a game.
