December 05, 2009

Burbank’s 27th annual Holiday Outdoor Decorating Contest was in full swing as revelers this week scanned potential entries from atop a double-decker bus.

The Holly Trolley Tour rumbled through neighborhoods, stopping off in front of the city’s finest Santas, snowmen and reindeer. Those interested in entering the citywide contest must mail in their entries by 5 p.m. Tuesday.

“We encourage everyone who puts up outdoor decorations to enter,” said Robert Vincent, chairman of the Civic Pride Committee.

This year’s categories are residential, commercial and youth, and residents are asked submit an entry form or plain sheet of paper with their name, address, phone number and category, to Civic Pride, 150 N. Third St., Burbank, CA 91502.
