Scouts wrapping for donations

Boy Scout Troop 210 will be wrapping Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, birthday, Groundhog Day and other holiday gifts in exchange for donations through the end of the month, organizers said.

The troop has been providing donation-based holiday wrapping at the Sports Authority at the west end of the Empire Center, 1900 E. Empire Ave., for more than 10 years, organizers said.

Money raised during the campaign helps fund scouts in community projects, advancements, scholarships, equipment, camping and survival trips.

The troop boasts a large assortment of paper, boxes, ribbons and bows along with name tags.

Shoppers may drop their gifts off and get a ticket for the item, then return later to pick up the wrapped presents.

Scouts will be hosting their wrapping services at the Sports Authority from noon to 11 p.m. Friday; 7 a.m. to midnight Saturday; 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Dec. 23; and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 24.
