Burbank company launches software

Burbank-based Write Brothers Inc. recently announced the launch of Outline 4D, a project outlining program with timeline views and element tracking.

Outline 4D allows users to make outlines to organize projects. Originally branded under the name Storyview, Outline 4D includes additional support materials, such as a new training site and importing capabilities. Outline 4D launched Monday exclusively on Amazon.com for the first month.

Write Brothers Inc. also initiated a five-year software donation to USC’s School of Cinematic Arts for the fall 2009 semester. The software is for the faculty and students of the filmic writing, production and animation programs.

Galano named to new WB executive slot

Camela Galano has been named to the newly created position of president, Warner Bros. International Film Acquisitions, according to an announcement from Richard Fox, an executive vice president for the studio.

Galano will be responsible for acquiring the rights across all media — theatrical, home entertainment, television and digital to non-Warner Bros.-produced English-language films for release. Galano will also work closely with distribution executives in the studio’s various distribution business units and domestic executives to maximize exhibition opportunities and best exploit the films across all windows.
