BOY SCOUTS TAKE 10 COMMANDMENT HIKE
The 10 Commandment Hike is a youth program feature that the Boy Scouts of America Verdugo Hills Council hosts to increase the awareness of different religions in the community.
There is no effort on the part of the church leadership to recruit, merely to enlighten about what their faith has to offer, and to extend a welcome to anyone who has an interest, said council Executive Jon Maeda.
The program also promotes the 12th Scout Law: A Scout is Reverent: A Scout is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties. He respects the beliefs of others.
