Prostitution crackdown nets three more arrests

Three men were arrested at area hotels as part of the Police Department’s crackdown on prostitution-related crimes, authorities said.

Deondre Johnson, 26, of San Ysidro, and Justin McMurray, 25, of Murrieta were arrested Saturday at the Ramada Burbank Airport Hotel after officers allegedly found two women and evidence of prostitution, including text messages and an unspecified amount of cash.

The women allegedly admitted to being prostitutes and told officers that Johnson and McMurray were their pimps.

The women were not arrested and were instead listed as victims in a crime report, officers said.

Reginald Dill, 36, of Spring Valley, was arrested Thursday at the Quality Inn after officers smelled marijuana coming from a hotel room. Inside, a woman allegedly told officers she was a prostitute and Dill was her pimp. She was listed as a victim in a crime report, but was later arrested for an unrelated warrant, police said.
