Boys & Girls Club in record attempt

The Burbank Boys & Girls Club is helping Bicycle Playing Cards break the Guinness World Records mark for the largest “Hearts” tournament in history.

As part of the card company’s 125th anniversary, the company’s officials are asking the public to come out and join the tournament, which begins at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Hilton Universal Hotel in Universal City. Registration begins at 4 p.m.

The company is promoting family time and games by supporting the local club and the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood with a gift of $15,000. The Burbank club hopes to bring out 400 people.
