Four roads will be repaved

A project to improve portions of hillside streets that began last week is scheduled for completion May 28.

The $778,000-resurfacing of Harvard Road, De Bell Drive, Walnut Avenue and Lockheed View Drive involved working with operators of the Castaway, DeBell Golf Course, Wildwood Canyon Park and Starlight Bowl to maintain access during construction.

It includes concrete repairs, asphalt grinding and roadway repaving with rubberized asphalt. Roads will remain open to traffic throughout construction, with limited restrictions during certain phases of the operation.

Motorists should expect delays at street entrances and driveways, and parking will be restricted during the grinding phase. Between May 17 and May 20, select streets will be closed for about four to six hours in this order: Lockheed View Drive, Walnut Avenue, Harvard Road and De Bell Drive.

Residents were asked to direct their concerns to project manager Ricardo Sanchez, (818) 238-3954.
