400 block of South Keystone Street
A argument between two roommates resulted in a man receiving several minor lacerations to his leg at 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 11. Two roommates, a man and a woman, were involved in a verbal argument over the her taking the man's car without permission. The argument became heated, the woman grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the man in his leg. The woman fled the scene and could not be immediately located. The case is currently under investigation.
1700 block of Victory Place
A 56-year-old Burbank woman was the victim of a "pigeon drop" during the afternoon of Aug. 11. Two suspects, both Latino males between 45 and 50, convinced the woman to purchase a fake gold bar for $1,500. The first suspect, with brown hair, falsely claimed he was trying to sell three gold bars to pay for his son's medical bills after a hit-and-run accident. The second suspect with gray hair, who joined the original conversation later, claimed he was able to sell one for $14,000. The gold bar was made of polished brass.
