Chance to mingle with NBA stars: NBA All-Star Jam Session, presented by Adidas, is making its second appearance in Los Angeles and fans have the opportunity to join in the NBA All-Star excitement by becoming a Jam Session MVP Volunteer.

Jam Session, in conjunction with the 2011 NBA All-Star Game at Staples Center, is a five-day interactive basketball event taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center Feb. 17-21. Jam Session gives fans the chance to experience NBA All-Star 2011.

Volunteers should have a passion for the game and the desire to make Jam Session come alive for fans. As a Jam Session volunteer, individuals have the opportunity to work with fans of all ages, serving as a basketball ambassador to help them create memories and have the basketball time of their lives. In addition, volunteers gain unique access to NBA All-Star action, receive exclusive merchandise and more.

The requirements for volunteers are: Must be available Feb. 17-21; must be available to volunteer for at least two consecutive days for one four-hour shift; must be at least 18-years-old; must be energetic, responsible and have a positive attitude.

NBA All-Star Jam Session is non-stop basketball action, where fans can shoot, slam, dribble and drive all day, compete against their friends in skills challenges, get free autographs or get basketball tips from top players and legends.

Young fans can hang out at the Kids Zone — with hoops and interactive activities that are the perfect size for kids' slam dunks, three-pointers and jump shots.

For fans who want NBA entertainment, Jam Session features the NBA's favorite players, celebrities, mascots and dance teams as they hit center court in a variety of basketball competitions, including the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and the NBA All-Star practice.

The NBA is working in connection with the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission to draft the 2,000 energetic and dedicated people to the 2011 NBA All-Star Jam Session MVP Volunteer Team.
