Burbank spared the damage of other areas
Burbank emerged relatively unscathed from the recent series of storms that pounded Southern California.
While residents were asked to evacuate from homes in La Crescenta and La Cañada-Flintridge and fallen tree branches plagued the city of Glendale, Burbank's woes were limited to slight flooding on North Buena Vista Street between West Verdugo and West Olive avenues on Wednesday.
Public Works and Burbank police quickly responded with signage to divert drivers and others away from the affected area.
Earlier in the day, the city announced the distribution of free sandbags for Burbank residents and businesses from Public Works Field Services Yard on the 100 block of South Lake Street.
