Intersection of North Hollywood Way and West Oak Street
At 5:14 p.m. on Dec. 17, a 49-year-old Burbank woman was approached by a Latino man who grabbed her purse while she waited for the bus. The man ran southbound down North Hollywood Way and the woman lost sight of him when he ran into an apartment complex. The man was described as in his 30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a heavy build. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The purse contained cash, a wallet and other personal items.
3500 block of West Victory Boulevard
At 12:26 p.m. on Dec. 18, a Petco employee placed the store's cash deposits on her front passenger side seat when a man smashed the window and took the pouch that contained $1,500. The man ran into the backseat of a gold or tan four-door sedan, which fled westbound on West Victory Boulevard. Officers were unable to locate the man, described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build, 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark shirt, dark hooded sweatshirt with white writing, dark pants and baseball-style hat. No description was provided for the driver of the car. The vehicle was described as possibly a Toyota or Nissan with white license plates and blue lettering.
