Police Report - Feb. 16, 2011

The following were taken from reports filed with the Burbank Police Department.

Area 1

300 block of West Alameda Avenue

At 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 7, a man between the ages of 18 and 25 was seen taking a beach cruiser bicycle from an underground parking structure. He was described as between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, between 120 and 150 pounds with short, dark hair.

600 block of North Screenland Drive

At 8:35 p.m. on Feb. 12, two men between the ages of 16 and 18 were seen in an alley after a storage shed burglary. Officers saw pry marks on the rear door of the shed. One of the suspects had a shaved head, and the other was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt.

300 block of North Hollywood Way

Between 11 a.m. on Feb. 4 and 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 8, a red and white bicycle was stolen from a garage. Officers reported the padlock was cut off the door.

Between 8:48 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 8, a digital camera, 23-inch flat-screen computer, two video game consoles, 52-inch flat screen television and an iPad were stolen from the home. It appears the suspects entered through an open bathroom window.

Area 2

100 block of East Olive Avenue

At 11:05 a.m. on Feb. 14, a 58-year-old Burbank man was walking to Bank of America when his deposit bag was grabbed from behind. The suspect, described as a Latino man, caused the victim to fall to the ground while he ran away with the bag. The victim was able to recover the deposit bag at the scene after the man jumped into the passenger seat of a waiting, newer model Cadillac that was pearl white with black rims. The suspect was described as around 5 feet 6 inches tall, 190 pounds with a medium build and clean shaven. He was wearing a white baseball cap, white hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white tennis shoes.
